Networking

One of the best benefits of Chamber membership is the opportunity to network.  Regardless of your type of business, meeting potential customers is essential to your success. The Chamber provides monthly activities to network.  Every month a Chamber member hosts a Business After Hours. This open-house style event allows members to showcase their business or organization.  This is an ideal opportunity to meet other area business people.

Marketing / Promotions

Worker's Compensation Insurance

Chamber Events

You will receive an invitation to attend annual events like the Annual Dinner, the Golf Outing, the very popular Steak Fry and Auction, and Business After Hours.

ChamberGram

As a Chamber member, you will receive the monthly Chamber newsletter, The ChamberGram.  You can choose to receive a print copy in the mail or a PDF via email. All PDF versions are currently available online. The ChamberGram and the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce's website keeps you informed of Chamber and community events and important information for your business.

Referrals

The Chamber receives a number of referral requests from the general public and refers its members to these potential customers.  Members are listed in the Chamber's Membership Directory, which is currently available in hard copy and via our Membership Search on this website.

Becoming a Member of The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce

There are two ways you can apply for membership.

2. Please note, the online form is currently unavailable.

Membership will automatically be renewed and your account will be billed, unless written notification is received stating your desire to drop membership. The AACC provides membership plaques, decals, certificates and / or other emblems to current members as display or use as allowed by policy. They remain the property of the AACC and must be returned in the event of termination of membership.

Please note: Membership investments are deductible from income tax as a business expense.
