Becky spent her childhood collecting ramps, gardening, hunting, and homesteading with her family in central West Virginia. She moved to Athens for high school, graduated from Ohio University, then made her way to the Pacific Northwest to attend culinary school at the Art Institute of Portland. From there, she sought out opportunities to refine her butchery and culinary skills, including working for a number of James Beard Award Winning Chefs around the country.

After several years, she felt the pull to return home to Athens County and her family. Becky knew that she wanted to bring her abilities and passion for food home, and began working on a concept that she hoped would benefit her community. Seven years ago she founded Pork & Pickles, a local meat product line, consulting business, and cooking class company. Late last year she pivoted the company away from the product line to focus her efforts on the consulting and classes, as well as to focus on her work with Little Fish Brewing Company.

Becky is the Executive Chef and Director of Hospitality for Little Fish (both in Athens and in Dayton, OH).

She sits on the Community Food Initiatives Board, and is an avid supporter of many local organizations such as Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, Rural Action, and the Athens Farmers Market. While not at work you can find her trail running with her dog (Woody), cycling, gardening, cooking and eating with her partner Chris, or spending time with her family and friends, and cat, Bernie.
