Save the date for the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner Meeting & Awards Gala on Thursday, January 25^th, 2024!

Join us at our Annual Dinner Meeting & Awards Gala at the Ohio University Inn to celebrate the achievements of our members and to establish a new board to guide the Chamber through 2024.

The night kicks off with a social hour, where guests are invited to mingle and get their pictures taken in front of our step-and-repeat. Light appetizers will be offered during the social hour, and a cash bar will be open throughout the night serving up the event’s signature drink along with many other libations.

A formal 3-course sit-down dinner will follow and will feature an entrée choice of either strip steak served with white truffle mashed potatoes and seasonal root vegetables or roasted butternut squash stuffed with quinoa, root vegetables, and topped with vegan cheese. The dessert will be a decadent chocolate trilogy mousse cake.

The night will also include recognition of all of our annual award winners, each of whom will be invited to briefly address the crowd.

Help us identify the businesses, organizations, and individuals who have worked hard in 2023 to better the Athens Area by filling out the following nomination form. Each of our six awards focuses on a different type of community impact, and you can read more about criteria for each award and see a list of previous winners on our Annual Awards page.

UPDATE: Nominations are due by 5:00pm on Thursday, December 14th.

Nominations are quick and easy! You do not need to nominate a business or individual in each category, and you do not need to be a Chamber member to make a nomination. Your name and contact information will only be used if follow-up information is required.

Table Centerpiece Donations

A beloved tradition of our Annual Dinner Meeting and Awards Gala, every year our Chamber members reserve the opportunity to create a unique centerpiece to be displayed on one of the dinner tables during the event. Since seating is not assigned at this event, attendees often pick their table by the centerpiece that they like the best, in hopes that at the end of the night, they’ll be going home with it as a door prize.
