Join the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce for the 2022 Annual Awards and Dinner Meeting, where we will celebrate the achievements of our members and establish a new board to guide the Chamber through 2023.

Chamber and community members are invited to convene at the Ohio University Inn and Conference Center on Thursday, January 26, 2023, for an evening of networking, community building, and celebration.

In order to recognize our member businesses and individuals who have made an impact in 2022, the Athens Area Chamber will bestow the following awards:

  • Distinguished Service Award
  • Holzaepfel Economic Growth Award
  • Jon Sparhawk Small Business Award
  • Young Professional of the Year
  • Ambassador of the Year and Community Support Award.

The Call for Nominations is currently open and the deadline for nominations is Friday, December 8 at 5:00pm.

Table Centerpiece

A beloved tradition of our Annual Awards and Dinner Meetings, every year our Chamber members reserve the opportunity to create a unique centerpiece to be displayed on one of the dinner tables during the event. As seating is not assigned, attendees often pick their table by the centerpiece that they like the best, in hopes that at the end of the night, they’ll be going home with it as a door prize.
