Join us for our last night of networking for 2023! On Thursday, October 12th, West End Ciderhouse will host us in their cozy and well-appointed space for a night of fun and connection. While everyone is always welcome at CAP events, we are putting a special focus on remote workers during this last CAP Happy Hour of 2023 with the hopes of creating a feeling of community between remote workers operating out of Athens. Please help us spread the word to anyone you know who is a remote worker living in the Athens area!
The West End Ciderhouse offers classic and innovative cocktails and an extensive selection of craft beers, wines, and spirits. And thank you to the Athens County Commissioners for sponsoring the complimentary appetizers that will be available for attendees.
Athens County Commissioners Lenny Eliason, Chris Chmiel, and Charlie Adkins are sponsoring this month’s event with the hope of starting to create a connected community of remote workers who operate from the Athens Area.
During the October CAP Happy Hour, we will collect contact information from remote workers in order to start a listserv that can be used to connect remote workers and alert them to updates, upcoming events, and more. Information will also be available about Bluedot Coworking, which will be Southeast Ohio’s newest space for Appalachia’s remote and hybrid workforce and is slated to open at the Athens Armory in 2024.
CAP is a great place to expand your social circle in a fun, laid-back, no-pressure atmosphere. We hope you’ll make it for an evening of good drinks, good food, good conversations.

As an organizing partner for Connecting Athens Professionals (CAP), the Athens Area Chamber helps to intentionally create a welcoming and informal environment for emerging leaders to feel comfortable creating and fostering new connections. The monthly CAP Happy Hours are casual open-house style networking events that offer a chance to socialize with emerging and experienced professionals while patronizing a different business every month. CAP events are free and open to the public.
