The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce (Athens, OH), a not-for-profit membership based organization, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of President. The President is responsible for the success of the organization and direction of its full range of activities including, but not limited to: recruitment and retention of membership, fundraising events, and maintaining collaborative working relationships with local business leaders and community stakeholders to foster a nurturing business climate. The President is also responsible for all administrative functions of the organization including preparation of an annual budget for Board approval, stewardship of assets, and accounting and fiscal controls.
The position will require schedule flexibility to attend meetings and events outside of normal business hours. Successful candidates will possess superior written and oral communication skills, be highly organized and customer focused with a strong desire to serve the local business community. Individual should have a bachelor degree and experience working in an executive position or public sector. Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.
