The excitement is building as planning for the 28th Annual Celebrate Athens Dinner & Auction is well underway! I cordially invite you to attend this year’s revamped, reinvigorated event. Mark your calendar for Thursday, September 21st for an evening of fun, food, fundraising, and networking at the Dairy Barn Arts Center as we celebrate what makes the Athens area special. Funds raised at this event help us continue our mission to strengthen the Athens area business community through outreach, advocacy, member benefits and more.

This year, as we continue to celebrate “The Year of Our Members” we will be bringing to you a wide array of silent and live auction items that illustrate the vibrancy of our member businesses and organizations, including exclusive experiences, team-building packages, and unique goods and services. Expect this year’s food to celebrate the culinary diversity of Athens by featuring selections from several of our members, including steaks and portobello mushrooms grilled on-site and baked potato bar provided by Texas Roadhouse. (Announcements coming soon on which members will be providing appetizers and dessert!)

Generous sponsorship pledges are key to our continued, partnered success AND provide your business with a wealth of exposure over the next few months via our website, radio spots, ChamberGram, GreenBlasts, and social media marketing. For more exciting details visit our event page, and go here to secure your sponsorship and/or purchase tickets.

We are also preparing for our 7th Annual Athens Area Women’s+ Summit on Friday, November 10th at Stuart’s Opera House. The Women’s+ Summit Planning Committee strives to create an event that reflects the communities we serve and where everyone feels empowered to bring their full, authentic selves. We currently have a call for proposals open and encourage submissions no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday, August 15th for full consideration. Read more details and find the submission application here.

Thank you all for all you do. We are privileged to live and work in such a special place.

With gratitude,

Kristin
