The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce gathered to celebrate all things Athens on Thursday, September 15, at the Dairy Barn Arts Center. The Celebrate Athens Auction and Dinner showcased live and silent auction items donated from many area businesses, all of which represented the unique products and services coming out of the Athens area. The night also featured the stunning Celebrate Athens Time Capsule, fabricated by Chamber member AC Green Metalworks.
Guests gathered for a cocktail hour followed by a dinner, provided by theOhio University Inn and Conference Center, before settling in for a fun live auction put on by Shamrock Auction and Services (one of their last public auctions before retirement!) and featuring Bill L’Heureux of L’Heureux Properties as the emcee.
The night raised over $25,000 to help fund the Chamber’s mission to support and strengthen the Athens business community, and the eventwas completed by the formal goodbye to outgoing President Dani Esperanza and the formal introduction of new President Kristin Miller. The Chamber extends its gratitude to all everyone who helped make the night such a success — together we make a difference!
