The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Membership Coordinator.

This is a salaried, full-time position with a flexible schedule and hybrid workplace.

The Membership Coordinator, as a key collaborator, visionary leader, and community-builder, is essential to the success of the mission and operation of the Chamber by overseeing recruitment and retention strategies.

The primary functions of this role are membership investment oversight and visionary leadership of volunteer group, event planning and fiscal management. This person will work independently as needed, but in collaboration with others to oversee membership recruitment and retention, event planning, and membership programming in support of the organization to strengthen the Chamber’s standing and encourage membership.

Serving as the central voice and image of the area business community, the Chamber represents over 400 members and its mission is to strengthen our business community through collaboration, engagement, and strategic partnerships.
