And just like that, 2022 is ending. What a year it has been! The Chamber has gone through many changes this year and we are so very excited for what is to come in 2023.
As the December days become shorter, the festive lights of the season shine bright. We are about to kick off our annual Uptown for the Holidays celebrations and the city is aglow with holiday lights, window decorations, and smiles from business folks and community members. All month long, we’ll be spotlighting the businesses that make our area so unique, encouraging the community to Keep the Cheer Here by shopping locally. Our first-ever Chamber Member Gift Guide has been well received and is a perfect resource for your holiday shopping.
We are excited about our upcoming Annual Awards and Dinner Meeting which will be held on January 26, 2023. We know that engaged businesses and individuals make our community stronger and more dynamic. With that, we are excited to recognize our members who have made a local impact in 2022. We will honor Chamber Member award winners during the dinner and throughout the coming year. You can nominate a deserving individual or organization for our annual awards here. This has been a wonderful year for the Chamber, and for me, personally. I am grateful to our members, Board of Directors, staff, and the entire Athens community for the privilege of working together. So many things to look forward to in 2023!
