New Chamber Board Member
The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that Alysia Brooks has been appointed to the Board of Directors. She will be filling a vacated first term on the 2023 Board of Directors. This first term is slated to end in 2024, and Alysia will be eligible to seek a second 3-year term.
Alysia should be a familiar face to our Chamber members: she has served as an Ambassador since 2016, co-chairing the group in 2018 and 2019. About Alysia’s appointment, President of the Board Lindsay Barnett states: “Over the past 7 years, Alysia has been an active and dedicated Ambassador, and we are excited to have her bring this passion to her role on the Board of Directors.”
Meet Alysia Brooks
Alysia Brooks has been with Mathews Insurance since 2013 and is currently a producer with a focus on new business. She holds a Personal Lines Coverage Specialist and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation. Prior to joining the board, she had been a member of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors since 2016 having served as Co-Chair in 2018 and 2019. Alysia is also involved in our community by serving on the board of the Athens Child Conservation League as Co-Chair from 2017-2018 and Chair in 2019. Additionally, she is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA/GAL) volunteer and an Athens Sunrise Rotary club member. Alysia lives in Athens with her husband, TJ Brooks, their son, and 2 loving dogs.
