The Center for AAC & Autism recently featured a full-length article in their fall newsletter on Stephannie Brajot and her Athens-based practice, Pivot Point Speech Therapy, which focuses on providing care to children with Autism, social communication disorders, and other speech and language issues.

Stephannie is the only LAMP certified practitioner in the Athens area, and her practice approaches neurodiversity and differences in communication and cognition through a strength-based model. According to The Center for AAC & Autism, LAMP stands for Language Acquisition through Motor Planning and “it is a language system that aims to give individuals who are nonverbal or have limited verbal abilities a method of independently and spontaneously expressing themselves in any setting.”
