Community Tree Lighting and Opening Night Festivities

It’s almost that special time of year again and we are hard at work planning for the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce Uptown for the Holidays events – one of our favorite ways to give back to our Athens communities.
The Community Tree Lighting and Opening Night Events will take place on Friday, December 8th, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, when the big man in red himself will be whisked into town on a horse-drawn wagon to take pictures with visitors Santa’s Workshop, located at the corner of Washington and Court Streets. The festivities will continue all night, with horse-drawn wagon rides and special holiday activities hosted by members of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce and the Athens Uptown Business Association (AUBA).
Throughout the rest of December, Santa, wagon rides, live musical acts, and more will be featured on Thursdays and Saturdays to make your holiday shopping more magical.
