Jenny Stotts – Session 3A – Unpack It!
Jenny Stotts is the Executive Director of the Athens CASA/GAL Program and Regional Director of Southeast Ohio CASA. A graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a master’s degree in Social Sciences, Jenny, a licensed social worker and certified trauma specialist, serves as Co-Chair of the National CASA Rural Leadership Council and Chair of the Ohio Child Welfare Review Panel on Permanency. Under her leadership, the CASA program, recognized for excellence by the Ohio and National CASA Associations, has quadrupled in size, budget, and children served.
During Jenny’s session, Unpack It!, she will share tips for creating balance between family, work, and the past without feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or frustrated. Strategic storytelling, while managing the urge to self-disclose, will be explored. Delivered through a lens of selfcare that is empowering and critical for professionals, attendees will leave feeling better able to manage their own biases, making changes where needed.
Jenny is active in the community and is a proud member of the Athens Sunrise Rotary Club. A past president of the club, Jenny currently serves as the Assistant Governor to Rotary District 6690 supporting five clubs in Athens, Meigs, and Hocking Counties. Jenny, who loves to travel, lives in Pomeroy with her husband of 11 years and their two children, two Great Danes, two cats, and numerous chickens. Adventurers at heart, the Stotts spend their spare time outdoors. They enjoy hiking, camping, and water sports of all kind. A family built with love through adoption and “medical magic,” Jenny is proud that she is raising compassionate children who care about the world around them. “Believe in people and their capacity to come together to make the world better” is Jenny’s very fitting mantra.
